St. Malachy’s Out-of-School Time Program (OST), located in North Philadelphia (19142) provides creative programmingfor children in grades K-5, ages 5-11, during afterschool hours and eight weeks during the summer camp. The program’s core strategy is to build life skill development (character, academic achievement, conflict resolution, and healthy lifestyles). Malachy’s OST offers homework help, reading/ math clubs, art, ASAP’s chess/scrabble, tech clubs, and STEAM based PBL projects. St. Malachy’s OST offers programming options that enhance social skills through collaboration, increase math and reading performance through enrichment activities, engage children in “hands-on, minds-on” learning, and help youth set real world goals for their futures.
